Payment policy

PayPal is a system that makes it faster, safer and more convenient to receive and send online payments. The payment solution offered is available to both companies and individuals with a valid e-mail address, Internet access via computer, laptop or other mobile device, and an online payment funding source configured with a PayPal account.

This system is the most common method of settlement for auction sites and online stores, and increasingly preferred for selling services, including those outside the e-commerce industry.

PayPal works on the principle of a virtual purse/wallet/cash box (digital wallet). With PayPal, customers can pay using a credit card or their PayPal account balance, which can be credited with transfers from a bank account or another PayPal account.

The online payments giant is present in 190 countries, 23 of which have local online services. PayPal allows payments in 25 currencies.

PayPal (Europe) S.àr.l. &Cie, S.C.A., headquartered in Luxembourg, holds a valid license as a Luxembourg credit institution within the meaning of Article 2 of the Financial Sector Law of April 5, 1993, as amended, and is subject to supervision by Luxembourg's supervisory institution, the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (Financial Sector Supervisory Commission).
